Rented Reservoir Waters for full Members

Derbyshire County Angling Club (DCAC) has a number of rented rods on Blithfield, Ladybower, Carsington and Toft Newton reservoirs for the enjoyment of their members.
These allow for a limited number of day tickets to be allocated by the fishery each day to members, which the DCAC pay for in advance. Simply ring the fishery in advance and book your ticket which usually includes a two fish limit. You will be asked for your name and DCAC number and will have to produce your membership card on arrival at the fishery.
Members have to pay for their own boats if booked.

DCAC also provide Coarse Fishing, Reservoir Fishing, Mixed Fishing and Salmon Fishing for our members.

Blithfield Reservoir

Blithfield Reservoir is a trout fishery close to the village of Abbots Bromley in

Staffordshire.
Blithfield Reservoir is a 790-acre lake set in the beautiful Blithe valley.
Completed in 1953, Blithfield Reservoir became a trout fishery in 1957 and is

now recognised as a premier fly fishing site in Staffordshire and the wider

Midlands region.
The reservoir, owned by South Staffs Water, offers over 11 miles of superb bank fishing for trout, as well as excellent 'top of the water' sport from a fleet of powered boats.
Blithfield is part of the DCAC "Rented Rods" scheme, our members can book in and fish

here up to 15 times per season.
Membership cards must be shown and no one can book more than six days in advance. See the fishery rules for more information.

Ladybower Reservoir

Ladybower Reservoir offers Derbyshire County Angling Club members some

beautiful fly fishing for rainbow and brown trout from the bank or from a fleet of

boats.
Much of the bank side shelves steeply into deeper water so care must be taken

when fishing. Lure fishing is extremely popular and successful, but Ladybower

is essentially an upland water and the fish are often quick and responsive to

falls of terrestrial insects.
One of the few reservoirs to have a good hatch of mayfly, usually in June, Ladybower offers great sport from the bank during the Mayfly hatches.

Ladybower reservoir is a large Y shaped reservoir and is the lowest of three in the Upper Derwent Valley. The River Ashop flows into Ladybower Reservoir from the west and the River Derwent from the north.
A number of float tube days are held each season, contact the fishery for details.
As part of our "Rented Rods" scheme, Ladybower will be available for our members to pre-book up to 15 visits per season.

Carsington Water

Carsington Water is a stunning trout fishery situated in the heart of the

Derbyshire countryside.

Its natural beauty, tranquil atmosphere, crystal clear waters and stunning fish combine to make Carsington Water addictive to anglers.
Its gin clear waters are stocked with fish up to 8lb and fish are stocked weekly

throughout the season.
As part of our "Rented Rods" scheme, Carsington will be available for our

members to pre-book up to 15 visits per season.

This is a boat only fishery, boat payment is not included in our membership.

Toft Newton Reservoir

Toft Newton trout fishery is set in the heart of rural Lincolnshire and now in its

42nd season is well established as the number one venue for trout fishing in

Lincolnshire.

Derbyshire County Angling Club members can fish Toft Newton as part of their

membership on a bookable ticket system.
The 40 acre concrete bowl reservoir provides excellent rainbow trout fly fishing

sport for all trout anglers from beginner to expert. Banks are easily accessible for all and a number of boats are available including a Wheely boat for use by disabled anglers.
The fishery lodge boasts a fishing tackle and refreshments shop including a comprehensive range of fishing tackle and serve yourself tea and coffee.
As part of our "Rented Rods" scheme, Toft Newton will be available for our members to pre-book up to 15 visits per season.

Birchinlee Fisheries

Full members only, no guests.
Wild brown trout fishing on the Derwent and Howden reservoirs.

Escape it all and spend a lovely day fishing these scenic places.

We have two tickets per day for full members only.

Bookable in advance from the fisheries office at Ladybower.
