River Derwent Borrowash to Sawley
The club has four stretches of the river Derwent included in the Coarse Fishing Section.
Borrowash to Sawley. Approximately 6 miles of river.
The fishery is mainly both banks even though for most of its length only one bank is fished. Access is good but, because of the length of this stretch, some walking is involved to fish the furthest pegs.
There are car parks dotted down the length which gives good access to the river as well as some parts where parking is available in lay byes, most members prefer to use the car parking areas and walk by the side of the river to get to their preferred swim.
Good catches of barbel, chub and roach are common with the occasional tench, bream, and pike being caught as well.
Night fishing available.

River Derwent at Allestree.
Over 1 mile of bank both sides, the stretch holds usual river coarse fish plus a few grayling.

River Derwent at Whatstandwell
This water has limited access, usual coarse fish, but expect the occasional trout and grayling.

River Derwent at Darley at Wenless Farm
The fishery at Wenlees Farm is situated upstream from Matlock at South Darley and consists of two small stretches either side of a horseshoe bend.
There is a good head of grayling at this water and also brown trout, keep nets are not allowed. Parking in Darley Bridge is very limited due to the narrow roads, some off road parking may be available in addition to the picnic site car park.

Chesterfield Canal and River Idle
The River Idle
A small river but can offer superb specimen chub and barbel fishing.
Specimen barbel and chub can be caught if anglers are prepared to search the river.
The river also contains roach and dace as well as the minor species such as bleak and gudgeon, the odd tench, pike and carp are also caught.

Chesterfield Canal at Worksop, which is handy, especially when the River Idle is out of sorts due to flood water.
The canal holds a decent head of fish including chub, roach, rudd, perch and bream with the occasional pike and carp.
Both waters are available on separate permits or you can choose to have a joint permit for both waters.

Woodsetts Pond
Available to both full and standard coarse fishing members.
A small, secluded pond, full of fish with double figure carp, plenty of roach and rudd.
If you fancy a nice quiet day with good fishing, this is the place for you.
Limited to a dozen or so pegs, but that's not usually a problem, there are plenty of carp if that's your fancy but this is no specimen lake.
No night fishing.

Martyns Lake Willington

Recently stocked with good carp to 20lbs. In summer coarse anglers may, in suitable conditions park near their fishing station.
Flooding.
The River Trent occasionally floods and prevents access to this water.

Wilne Pool
Wilne is a small pool, lovely to fish and stocked with some large carp up to 30lbs.
A different stealthy approach is required to get the best from this water.
Located at the side of our River Derwent water, car parking is available.
Only full members can fish here, please sign in and out and record your catch in the checking station.
Wilne Pool is a 3 acre pool available for coarse fishing. It is situated off Wilne Road between Draycott and Sawley.
